Welcome to Hong Xiao's Home Page

I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics of University of California, Davis.   I graduated from Yale University in 2001, with a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science.  My doctoral dissertation was on Prolate Spheroidal Wave Functions and related numerical techniques for band-limited functions.  My current research interests include band-limited functions, fast numerical methods, and their applications in image processing, digital signal processing and communication.
