Homework: There will be two-a-week homework assignments, due each Tuesday and Thursday in class (some/most will be online homeworks through WeBWorK).  I will post assignments in class and also on the course webpage.  I encourage you to form study groups for the homework and exam preparation, but each person must write-up their own copy of the homework to turn in (when the HW is not through WeBWorK).  Your lowest  homework score will be dropped. No late homework will be accepted.

Quizzes: There will be weekly quizzes on Mondays.  Your lowest quiz score will be dropped.  No make-up quizzes will be offered.

Exams: There will be a midterm on Thursday August 19 in class and a cumulative final on Thursday September 9 in class.  THERE WILL BE NO MAKE-UP EXAMS.  All exams will be closed book with no calculators or electronic devices allowed.

Re-grading: All re-grade requests (homework, quiz and exam) must be made within the next two classes after the hw/quiz/exam is handed back.

• Adding/Dropping the Course: The last day to add a course (sans PTA) this session is August 11, the last day to drop a course (sans PTD) is August 9.
• Cheating Policy: I will not tolerate cheating in this course, and I will follow the guidelines set forth by the university to punish those caught cheating. I will be checking identification at all exams, and will photocopy a random sample of exams before returning them. Please maintain the high academic standards of this university.
• Additional Help: The math department has a very useful webpage. They maintain sample copies of old exams, lists of tutors, etc. here.

• Important Note: Notice the structure of homeworks and quizzes; I've designed this course to teach you vector calculus quickly and well by forcing you to think about it every day.  My experience is that, when learning math, six hours every day is more efficient than twelve hours every other day.  I've been told that this is due to the "reorganization" your brain does in your sleep (see links below if interested).
  So sleep well, and do math every day.
