-Material Covered: Limits; differentiation of algebraic functions; analytic geometry; applications, in particular to maxima and minima problems.

-Grading:  Your total grade will be based on homework, one midterm, and a comprehensive final exam.  Here is the breakdown of the grades:

Homework:
30
Midterm 1:
30
Final:
40
Total:
100

-Homework: Homework will be collected weekly on fridays.  Late homework will not be accepted for partial credit.  A select number of problems will be graded on each assignment for completeness.  It is encouraged that you look over solutions and attempt every problem as practice for the midterm and final.

-Tests:  The first Midterm will be on October 29th.  The final will be on Thursday, December 13th, 1:00pm - 3:00pm.  If a test is missed for any reason, there will be no make up exam and it will be recorded as a zero.
