Syllabus:

This class is the second quarter of the short calculus sequence. Over the course of the quarter, we'll discuss exponential and logarithmic functions, integration, the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus as well as some applications of these ideas to probability. The required text Calculus: An Applied Approach, 7th ed. by Larson and Edwards is available at the University Bookstore. Students in this course should have completed MATH 16A, 17A or 21A.

There are several components to the grade you will receive in this class:

No books, notes or calculating devices will be allowed during the exams. There will be no exam makeups.


Resources

The Calculus help room is available to assist you with this course. Also, there are some general tips on learning calculus. In addition, the Learning Skills Center (LSC) conducts workshops and co-classes designed to help students who are taking calculus courses.
