Professional Activities and Conferences:
Here are some events or professional activities on which I was (will be) involved:
Talks, Conferences, Workshops, and Seminars:
- Here some talks I have presented about my research.
You can download some of the transparencies there.
- At the international level, I was one of the organizers of a special semester
on Discrete and Computational Geometry.
at the Mathematical Science Research Institute (MSRI) in Berkeley Fall of 2003.
I have also organized conferences
at AIM, Oberwolfach, and several SIAM, MAA, and AMS meetings.
- I regularly attend, I have organized, and help found our
Algebra and Discrete Mathematics Seminar.
The UC Davis Algebra Discrete Math group also helped to launch,
and continues to support, the Bay Area Discrete Math Day ,
(widely known for its great mathematical lectures and its humourous acronim).
- Looking for a good conference? Let me suggest some rather interesting math conferences and workshops.
With some luck we may see each other there.
Support of Educational Programs Administration:
- I am a member of our VIGRE-NSF committee. I am also a member
of the Undergraduate Programm Committee and the Undergraduate Research
committee.
- I enjoy trying to convince students into becoming math majors
For this reason, I have taught Freshman Seminars, support MURRPS
(a program to aid
the participation of Minorities in the mathematical and physical sciences), have been
undergraduate research
coordinator, and taught for COSMOS (a program for talented high school
students in California).
