Grading
Homework:   20%
Midterm #1: 20% Wednesday Oct. 18
Midterm #2: 20% Wednesday Nov. 15
Final Exam: 40% Wednesday Dec.13 10:30-12:30
Prerequisites: Students will be automatically dropped from the course unless one of the following conditions is met
(a) a score of at least 25 on the Pre-Calculus Diagnostic Exam!!
(b) a score a 4 or 5 on AP "AB" exam
(c) a score a 3, 4, or 5 on AP "BC" exam
(d) a score at least 700 on the SAT Mathematics Exam
The first homework will be assigned on the first day of class and will be due on Wednesday (October 4).
The next homework and all subsequent homeworks will be assigned on a Wednesday and will be due the following Wednesday.
For convenience, I will post the homework on the course webpage under 'Homework Page' above.
Note: Homework is assigned to give you practice with the material covered in the lectures and the book.
The assigned homework problems are the MINIMUM necessary to understand the material in the course and you
should solve additional problems if you do not fully understand the material. The exams (midterms and the
final) will be based largely on the homework assignments and similar problems.
