I've decided office hours based on the questionnaires.  This message also has other bits of stuff I neglected to mention or emphasize:

HOMEWORK #1

HW 1 is available on the course website (http://www.math.ucdavis.edu/~ekim/teaching/0506/summer1/21C/).  It is due this Wednesday.  Yes, that's just two
days away!!  HW 2 will be posted by tomorrow.  Summer session will flies by before you know it!!!

As a general comment in homework, you'll need to definitely do more than the required problems.  I've suggested just SOME optional ones on the webpage.  For
the midterm and final, you'll be responsible (as far as difficulty is concerned) for all the assigned problems, whether they were optional or not.

QUIZ #1

... is the last 10-15 minutes of class THIS Thursday.  Again, don't worry about it.  If you've given the HW an honest attempt and checked your work against

the solutions, you'll breeze through the quizzes.

OFFICE HOURS

I will be available for questions on lecture and homework right after class (9:40-10) in our classroom. In addition, I will have regular office hours in

3217 Mathematical Sciences Building at these times:

    * Mondays: 12:30pm-1:30pm and 3:30pm-4:30pm
    * Tuesdays: 11:30am-12:30pm
    * Wednesdays: 3:30pm-4:30pm
    * Thursdays: 4:30pm-6pm

... and by appointment (sending an e-mail request is best).

central campus gave me.  If you want a different address listed (or multiple addressses), just let me know.


I'm excited to be hanging out doing math at 8 AM with all of you.  Starting tomorrow, I'll be on quite a bit of coffee, so class should be more energetic
too!!!
