Syllabus

Dates-Times-Location: MWF - 1.10-2.00 pm - wellmn 212

Goal: The main goal of this class is to learn technique to solve Ode. In particular we are interested in problems coming from physics; we will propose different methods to solve them analitically and geometrically. We will discuss one dimensional flows on the line and circle, and two dimensional flows.

Homework:r-We scheduled two HWs on Jan14 and Feb11y homework assignments; btw we will suggest some problems and we will upload solutions and comments for some of them.

Mid-term: We scheduled two mid-terms on Jan28 (1 dimensional system) and Feb25 (2 dimensional system)

Final: The final exam is scheduled for Mar.18.10.

Grades:

Homework 1  5% Jan14 -> Due Jan21
MT1 20% Jan28
Homework2 5% Feb11 -> Due Feb18
