Announcements

Because of various reasons, the last three homeworks (homeworks 8--10) will be due on Wednesdays.
My office hours for these three weeks are changed to M 1-2:30pm and W 10 - 10:50am.

Midterm 1 covers sections 1.1--1.7, 2.1--2.3. Solution.
Here are a practice exam and its solution.
Because of Midterm 1, the 4th homework will be due on Wednesday, 10/22.
My office hours for the week (10/20 -- 10/24) are changed to M 1:30 - 3:00pm and W 10 - 10:50am.
I will also have addtional office hours on Thursday 10/23, from 3:00-4:30pm.

Grading: Assignments and quizzes 20%, each midterm 20%, final 40%.
Midterm 1: Friday, October 24 in class.
Midterm 2: Friday, November 21 in class.
Final: Monday, December 8 at 3:30pm.
