Midterm 2 covers sections 2.4--2.5, 3.1--3.3, 4.1--4.4.
Here are a practice exam and its solution.
I will have addtional office hours on Thursday 11/20, from 3:00-4:30pm.

Because of various reasons, the last three homeworks (homeworks 8--10) will be due on Wednesdays.
My office hours for these three weeks are changed to M 1-2:30pm and W 10 - 10:50am.

Grading: Assignments and quizzes 20%, each midterm 20%, final 40%.
Midterm 1: Friday, October 24 in class.
Midterm 2: Friday, November 21 in class.
Final: Monday, December 8 at 3:30pm.

Textbook:

A Transition to Advanced Mathematics , 6th edition, by Smith, Eggen, and St. Andre.

We will cover Sections 1.1-1.7, 2.1-2.5, 3.1-3.3, 4.1-4.4, 5.1-5.5, 7.1-7.2. Please see the detailed syllabus here.
