These pictures are not for the faint of heart, but rest assured that I am completely healed. I broke my ankle in a bicycle accident in September, 2006. (No car or other person was involved.)
I also had a simple anterior shoulder dislocation (not shown here).
My ankle still has these 11 screws and one screw plate. Fortunately the metal pieces are small, and titanium is not ferromagnetic, so I have no trouble with airport metal detectors. (They actually do notice it, but it is below threshold.)
