Geometric Topology Research Focus Group, 2008-2009

This will be the main site for coordinating the Geometric Topology Research Focus Group activities in 2008-2009.

All are welcome to participate.

Planned activities include:

A weekly research seminar and student seminar.

A series of 3 lecture mini courses introducing topics in low dimensional topology. In Winter Quarter, these will be on Thursays, 12-1 PM in 2112 MSB.

Undergraduates interested in this topic can get an introduction in the undergraduate topics course taught this Fall by Prof. Abigail Thompson: Knot Theory: A Gentle Introduction to Low-Dimensional Topology:
