Research
My research interests are in applied mathematics, wave propagation, singular perturbation theory, and nonlinear PDEs, especially nonlinear hyperbolic PDEs.Some specific problems in which I'm currently interested are:
- Hamiltonian descriptions of nonlinear waves
- Nonlinear hyperbolic surface waves
- Shock wave reflection
- Nonlinear gravitational waves in general relativity
- Variational systems of wave equations
