Textbook Required: Thomas' " Calculus, Early Transcendentals", by Weir, Hass and Girodano, 11th edition.
Cost: About $ 142, but used for 21B, 21C and 21D
Prerequisite: 21A or equivalent and a modicum of good manners
Attendance is not mandatory but it is expected. There will be homework, two midterms and a final exam in this class.
Three Scores will be calculated for each student:
A: Homework 20%, Midterm I 20%, Midterm II 20%, Final Exam 40%.
B: Homework 20%, Midterm I 30%, Final Exam 50%.
C: Homework 20%, Midterm II 30%, Final Exam 50%.
Your grade will be based on the higher of the three scores. There will be no makeup exams.
No calculators or other electronic devices allowed on any exams!
Homework will be handed and retrieved during discussion sections.
There will be weekly homework assignments. The assignments will be posted here:
