Final exam: Saturday June 10.
Material covered: cumulative. (includes implicit differentiation and related rates, increasing and decreasing, critical points, local and global extrema, concavity, and optimization)
Grades: the final exam was out of a total of 86 points. The scores on my.ucdavis are listed as percentages.
Rough letter grade correspondences for the EXAM itself, in terms of percent: A (75%-90%), B (65%-75%), C (55%-65%), D (45%-55%), F (0-45%).
The mean score was about 50 points, or 58%.
Final Grades for Course: have been submitted.
The lowest 2 homework scores and the lowest 1 quiz score were dropped from consideration.
The grade cutoffs are as follows, using the higher of the two "Projected Grade" scores on my.ucdavis:
  • 72 and up for some kind of A; 65 and up for some kind of B; 55 and up for some kind of C; 40 and up to pass.
    There is a bit of upward mobility depending on extra credit; one percentage point is about the most wiggle room there is, if you got all available extra credit.

    Material covered: Chapter 2.1-2.6 and 8.1-8.3 plus trig and derivatives of sin, cos, ex (includes definition of derivative, rules for differentiation, slope of secant and tangent lines, rates of change, velocity, acceleration, marginals)
