Text: Larson and Edwards,Calculus: An Applied Approach, 7th ed.

Description: This is the second in the short calculus sequence. We shall cover exponential and logarithmic functions, integration, the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, and some applications to Probability. Students in this course should have completed MATH 16A, 17A or 21A.

Grading and Procedures: The grade will be based on homework (10%), two midterms (25% each,
tentatively scheduled for January 30 and February 27), and the final exam (40%).

Homework is due in on Mondays in lecture. Homework  will be returned to the box for this course located in the basement of Wellman hall outside of room 27. Please return a 3x5 card to give us permission to put your homework in the box.


No books, notes or calculating devices will be allowed during the exams. There will be no exam makeups.
