in 202 Wellman.
The Exam covers all sections of Chapter 10.
Although the coverage of the final is restricted to Chapter 10, please note that a variety of calculus skills of differentiation and integration are required to solve some of the problems.
Second Midterm Examination:
Friday, May 14.
The Exam covers Sections 7.5, 7.6, 7.8, 7.9 and 10.1.
Special Notice: No calculators are allowed in the exam.
The average score was 16.9 points.
First Midterm Examination:
Friday, April 23.
The Exam covers Sections C.1. - C.4 and Sections 7.1 - 7.4.

Bruce H. Edwards,
Houghton Mifflin, 2003. We cover
Sections 7.1 - 7.9,
10.1 - 10.6, and Appendix C.1 - C.4 of this book.

Wednesdays 3:10 - 4:00, in 674 Kerr.

Please utilize the Calculus Room for consultation about
the materials of the course.
Examinations: There will be 2 midterm examinations and
a final. No electronic communication devices such as
cell phones are allowed in these examinations.
Exam problems will be based on the homework and reading assignments, and
problems and examples worked out in lectures. No make up examination will be
given. If you missed a midterm exam due to the circumstances beyond your
control, you should contact the instructor as soon as possible for a
conference. The final examination is
comprehensive and thus covers the whole material of the course. No one can be
excused from the final examination. In case you missed it, you should notify
the Department immediately. Upon receiving approval from the Department, the
course grade I (incomplete)
may be assigned to eligible students. Please consult the catalogue for
guidelines of the incomplete grade.
You are expected to strictly
adhere to the
UCD Code of Academic Conduct.
Homework: Homework assignments are given every
week and are due every Wednesday. You are expected to work all assigned
problems. Due to the budgetary constraints, only 6 problems per week will be
graded. In determining your homework grade, the lowest score will be dropped.
No late submission is accepted. Course Grade: The course grade will be determined, using the normal distribution curve, by
counting the scores of your homework, midterm examinations and final
