Since Yosemite lodging is dramatically discounted in the winter, Fu and I decided to drop by and see what it's like. We were lucky with the weather: there had been blizzards the week before, so there was still a fair amount of snow around, but while we were there it was consistently warm and sunny. We mainly wandered around the valley floor, mostly near various parts of the Merced River, although we did walk up Tenaya Creek to Mirror Lake one day, and headed up to Badger Pass for a ranger-led snowshoe walk on another.
