Text: “Elementary Analysis: The Theory of Calculus.”  by Kenneth Ross.

Description:
We will cover most of Chapters 3-5 in the text. Department of mathematics has provided a syllabus in http://www.math.ucdavis.edu/courses/syllabi/mat125a.pdf.

Homework: Homework will be assigned each Friday and will be due in class one week later. Homework must be handed in at the beginning of class on the day it is due. Late homework will not be accepted for grading. If you cannot attend class, then slip the homework under my door at least 20 minutes before class time (on the day it is due). To accommodate any unforeseeable circumstances that may arise throughout the quarter, the lowest homework score will be dropped before computing the homework averages. Homework must be legibly written (i.e., unreadable papers will be returned ungraded), with your name clearly written on it. The sheets of the homework write up must be stapled together. If loose sheets get lost, the grader is not responsible for locating them and grading the problems on the lost sheets. You are encouraged to discuss your homework assignments with other students in the class, however please make sure the final write-up is done on your own.
