Announcements:

The pre-taped lectures will be played during class on Wed. 5/28, Fri. 5/30 and Mon. 6/2, however you are also welcome to check the tape out from the media library in 1101 Hart Hall.
Additional Office hours: I will be available Wed. 6/4 from 9-11 am in my office. During the exam period (Thurs. 6/5 - Tues. 6/10) I will be available weekdays 9-5 (most of the time). People wishing to take the exam over the weekend (6/7-6/8) will have to arrange for electronic pick-up or drop off or both.
The recent lectures on Sobolev Inequalities can be referenced in Partial Differential Equations by Evans, Ch. 5. There are some photocopies of this material available on myucdavis.
The midterms have been graded and your grades are available on myucdavis. I will bring the exams to class on Wednesday.
I will be pre-taping 3 lectures for the classes on Wed. 5/28, Fri. 5/30, and Mon. 6/2. The pre-taping will occur on Fri. 5/23 from 10-12 and 1-2 in Bainer 1070. You can come to the pre-taping or watch the class during the regular time slot.
There will be no class on Wed. 6/4, although I will be available for additional office hours see above. The final exam will be a take home exam in the same style as the midterm, and it will be available from noon on Thurs. 6/5 and due by noon on Tues. 6/10.

Homework: There will be weekly homework assignments, due each Friday in class. I will post assignments on the course web-page. I encourage you to form study groups for the homework and exam preparation, but each person must write up their own copy of the homework to turn in. No late homework will be accepted but I will drop one homework score.

Grades:

Homework: 40%

Midterm: 20%

Final: 40%
