Final: Our final exam
is Monday, March
19 at 4:00 pm
in
123 SCILEC
[which has nearly enough room for alternate seating]
People taking two finals scheduled at that same time need to
let me know by March 9.
Please give me your name and SID and the
conflicting course and instructor for that course.
(Your other exam will most likely then be at ?.)
Supplement : Student
Solutions Guide,
By: Bruce Edwards. Answers to almost all odd numbered exercises.
Course Outline: We will
cover chapter 5, small parts of 4,6,8
Calculators: Calculators are not
necessary for this course and will not be
allowed
on tests.
Neither will cell phones. If you want a clock/watch during exams, bring
one,
but you will NOT be allowed your cell phone.
(Use of cell phone during exam is grounds for a 0.)
Tests: Calculators will not
be allowed on the tests (nor cell
phones). Bring your student ID cards to all exams.
As always, you are responsible for
the Academic
Code of Conduct on exams.
Quizzes: There may be pop quizzes in lecture.
Homework:
Homework is
assigned to give you practice with the material covered in the
lectures. It will be turned in. It will be graded. In
an ideal world, every problem of every set would be graded
carefully. In the world of budget constraints and public
universities, only a few selected problems will be graded each week,
and even then, only part of the alphabet (by your last name) at a time.
The assigned homework problems are the minimum necessary to understand
the material in the course. Do the problems carefully.
I may assign homework more often than once per week! Working on
exercises should be something you do every few days,
not racing through the night before the due date. However, it
will only be collected weekly or every 2 weeks.
I strongly recommend that you do homework every day, not just
before it is due.
NO LATE HOMEWORK WILL BE ACCEPTED!.
Homework assignments are available on-line.
