How to start

You must be registered for the course through the registrar office (using SISWeb).
First obtain  your username and passwd for our computer system.
Go to the first meeting at 2118 MSB which will be on the first  complete week of instruction.
Login to  your account.

Click on Applications  (Upper left corner)Choose internet then choose mozilla web browser (firefox). visit the following site:

 http://www.math.ucdavis.edu/~daddel/Math22al_S02/

Click on LAB1 and scroll down  a little to until you  see :

You will see the Matlab prompt : >>
Type :  diary LAB1.text 


Click on Applications  (Upper left corner)Choose  Mathematics then choose  Matlab text interface

 Resize the terminal window so that it does not not to overlap with your Mozilla window.

 Start typing diary LAB1.text  
and follow the direction provided on LAB1.  Type the commands in MATLAB window. 


You should see the MATLAB prompt as: ">>".

Follow instruction of the LAB1  by typing the commands in the MATLAB windw.
