Terminology

Topics, terms theorems and $\cdots $ used in this application are supposed to be covered in your linear algebra or your other privious math courses. Some of these terms will be defined here.

Equation of a line :

        ( General form ) ax+by +c =0
Equation of a circle :         ( General form ) a x2+b y2 +c x+ dy + e =0
Equation of a conic section:         ( General form ) a x2+b y2 +c xy+ d x + e y +f =0

A Conic Section : in the plane is an Ellipse (Circle), a Parabola or Hyperbola (or degenerate form of these three curves ).
Theorem : A homogeneous linear system with n-equation and n-unknown has a nontrivial solution if and only if the determinat of the coefficient matrix is zero.
