    Prerequisites

    Students must pass MAT 16A, 17A, or 21A.

    Required Textbook

    CALCULUS, An Applied Approach (7th edition) by Larson and Edwards

    Grading

    Homework: 20%
    Midterm 1: 20%
    Midterm 2: 20%
    Final: 40%

    Academic Honesty

    All exams are closed book and closed notes. All students are expected to follow the UCD Code of Academic Conduct during all exams. If you are suspected of cheating, you may receive a zero on your exam and/or be referred to Student Judicial Affairs.

    Disruptions

    Please turn your cell phone to vibrate or silent.  Do not answer your cell phone or text during class.  Do not talk during class.  If you are too disruptive in class (excessive talking, repeatedly leaving the class to answer your phone, etc.), I may ask you to leave the class.

    Exams

    There are two midterms and one final. Exams cannot be made-up except for family or health emergencies with documentation.

    Policy

    ALL work must be shown in order to receive credit. Due to time constraints, only a few select problems will be graded. Messy or illegible homework will not be graded. Late homework is NOT accepted. The two lowest homework scores will be dropped.
