Carpools to BADmath Day

Meeting:  Lets all meet at the southeast corner of B and 2nd Streets on Saturday monring, April 9.
Those drivers coming from West Davis are welcomed to pick up others who live nearby them on
the way. Same for East.
Meet at 7:15am.    Drivers: print out the pages  Directions to the SJSU campus, Directions to the SJSU Engineering  Building , and the  SJSU Campus map.   for directions.   I suggest taking either
 1)  the 80 West (30miles) to the 680 South (70 miles), then it's one mile on the 101 North, exit ALUM ROCK AVE  towards SANTA CLARA ST(CA-130), ALUM ROCK AVE becomes E SANTA CLARA ST.  Go about a mile. Turn LEFT  Left on 4th St and park in the MLK library parking lot.
OR, on the NE corner of 4th and San Fernando is a free garage. If you go right on San Fernando, there are also free garages on your left btwn 3rd and 2nd and 1st.
To get to SJSU walk east , and it will be just past 7th on your right.
  (If you miss 101, you can also take the 280 North, exit 7th and zigzag over to 4th.)  (It is about 110 miles.  )

2) Tim suggests the route w/ fewest surface streets is: 101 to 280 North to 87 North to Santa Clara/ Downtown Exit. Turn right on W. Santa Clara St. and continue east to S. Fourth St. Turn right onto S. Fourth St. and enter the Fourth St. Garage on the left.

3) take 80 West to 880 South.  (there are stretches where 680 is only 2 lanes, so this might be faster) Keep your eyes open at the interchange (from 80 one can go to 580/24/880/BayBridge).   Take the 101 South.  Take the OAKLAND RD exit towards 13TH STREET.  Turn Right on OAKLAND RD , Continue on 13TH ST - go 1.5 mi,  Turn Right on E SAN FERNANDO ST. Enter free lot at 4th or 3rd or 2nd and park. 
The Engineering Bldg looks due east.  Go on San Fernando heading east (towards 5th). After you hit 7th/ El Paseo de Cesar Chavez, it is on your right (south).

9:15-10:00 Refreshments and Informal Discussion, First talk starts at 10am.  last talk ends at 5:45 and dinner at 6:15. All talks will be held in the Engineering Auditorium, Room 189 of the SJSU Engineering Building.
Dinner will be held at House of Siam, in their 55 South Market Street location (between San Fernando and Santa Clara; and just west of 1st)

Below is a proposed organization of carpools.  Feel free to rearrange.  Passengers should certainly talk to drivers and collect their contact info.  Drivers should be armed w/ maps.  Passengers-- please bring $3 each and give it to your driver for gas and bridge toll at the START of the day Saturday.
