Undergraduate Advisors

Advisors are here to help you navigate through your academic career and get the most out of your time at UC Davis. Although it is your responsibility to know the requirements of your major and to complete those requirements on time, your advisors are here to help you along your journey.

It is encouraged that you meet with an advisor once a year to review your efforts, especially once you begin your upper division courses.

In addition to your Math Department advisors (below), we also suggest that you periodically consult the Undergraduate Education and Advising (UEA) advisors in the College of Letters and Science

Staff advisors are here for general academic advising; major/department requirements; forms and petitions; referral to campus resources; student outreach and recruitment; event planning and coordination.

We often have undergraduate students who can provide basic advice about courses, requirements, and campus services, from their own perspective. We are in the process of determining hours, but will post more once available.

The undergraduate research adviser is a faculty member who has agreed to help students with all details related to a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU). Primary responsibilities include helping students on finding a mentor, selecting students for available fellowships, and advertising other REU programs and fellowships outside of UC Davis.
