MAT022A Homepage

MAT22A, Linear Algebra, offers an introduction to elementary linear algebra, a discipline which is an essential tool virtually everywhere where mathematics is applied in the natural sciences, engineering (including signal and image processing, and computer graphics), in mathematical modeling in disciplines such as economics, and also in other branches of mathematics itself. Its importance can hardly be overstated. For most of you this course will also be a first encounter with abstract mathematical structures and an exploration of the power of mathematical abstraction. This course is challenging, but I hope it will also be a rewarding experience.
