Explore key support services and guidance available to help you navigate your graduate journey.

Graduate Program Coordinator: Your go-to for graduation milestones, required forms, program requirements, and other academic details specific to Mathematics and Applied Mathematics.
Initial Advisor: Assigned when you enter the program, your initial faculty advisor helps you choose classes and track your progress during your first year. You’ll meet at least once per quarter, starting with a discussion of your Fall schedule.
Graduate Studies Academic Services: The Graduate Studies Senior Academic Advisors are available for students in any situation, but most often when:
- You are filing your thesis or dissertation.
- You are experiencing a conflict with a faculty mentor.
- You are on academic probation, struggling with progress or are beyond normative time to degree, and want to discuss next steps.

Office of the Ombuds: Offers confidential conflict mediation and resolution services.
Office of Student Support and Judicial Affairs (OSSJA):
- Student Support Case Managers: Help connect students with campus resources.
- Judicial Affairs: Handles issues related to student misconduct.

GradPathways Institute for Professional Development: Provides support for dissertation writing, career development, and other academic skills.
Career Center: Offers tailored resources for advanced degree applicants on pursuing careers in academia and non-academic careers.

Student Health and Counseling Services: Access medical, mental health, and counseling services.
Aggie Compass Basic Needs Center: Supports students with food, housing, financial assistance, mental health, and crisis resources.
Campus Recreation: UC Davis offers a wide variety of campus recreation resources, opportunities, and facilities.

Housing and Transportation: Resources for finding graduate student housing and navigating transportation options.
Parenting and Childcare: Offers programs and assistance from pregnancy through childcare.

Student Disability Center: Assists with academic accommodations and accessibility needs.
Harassment & Discrimination Assistance and Prevention Program (HDAPP): Report incidents of discrimination, hate, bias, sexual harassment, or violence.

Galois Group: Represents graduate students in the Department of Mathematics and Graduate Group in Applied Mathematics, serving as a unified voice and advocate for student interests.
