Academic Guidance & Milestones

  • Graduate Program Coordinator: Your go-to for graduation milestones, required forms, program requirements, and other academic details specific to Mathematics and Applied Mathematics.
  • Initial Advisor: Assigned when you enter the program, your initial faculty advisor helps you choose classes and track your progress during your first year. You’ll meet at least once per quarter, starting with a discussion of your Fall schedule.
  • Graduate Studies Academic Services: The Graduate Studies Senior Academic Advisors are available for students in any situation, but most often when:
    • You are filing your thesis or dissertation.
    • You are experiencing a conflict with a faculty mentor.
    • You are on academic probation, struggling with progress or are beyond normative time to degree, and want to discuss next steps.
