The extended Bloch group and representations of 3-manifold groups

Description
We discuss parabolic representations of a 3-manifold group into
SL(n,C), and show that such representations naturally define elements in
Neumann's extended Bloch group. This gives rise to a concrete formula for
the volume and Chern-Simons invariant of such representations.
Computations show that the volume of an SL(n,C)-representation is often a
linear combination of volumes of hyperbolic 3-manifolds.
