Introduction to the DifferentialGeometry Software Package

In 1989 I began the development of a suite of software packages for commutations in
differential geometry, tensor analysis, calculus of variations, Lie theory, and General Relativity.
In this talk I'll give a (broadly accessible) introduction to some of the basic functionalities of the software using some well-known
examples from elementary differential geometry and general relativity.
Some of the new on-going projects in the area of integrable systems will be presented.
If you have any recent version of Maple installed on your laptop, please bring it if you wish to follow along
with the presentation on your own computer!
