Stochastic Population and Epidemic Models

Student-Run Research Seminar

Speaker: Chris Dugaw, UC Davis
Location: 693 Kerr
Start time: Wed, Oct 27 2004, 12:10PM

I will start with a very basic introduction to stochastic population models, that assumes no prior knowledge of stochastic processes. I will then apply some of the basic theory to epidemic models and present classic results that illuminate the nature of communicable human diseases.
