Singular Perturbations in Ecology

Student-Run Research Seminar

Speaker: Roy Wright, UC Davis
Location: 2112 MSB
Start time: Wed, Nov 1 2006, 12:10PM

Singular perturbation theory is a relatively new branch of applied analysis that is often associated with problems in physics. I will give an introduction to the methodology of singular perturbation analysis and demonstrate some of the ways it can be applied to mathematical models in ecology, particularly spatial victim-exploiter systems.
