Derivation of macroscopic evolution equations from many body quantum mechanics.

Description
In this talk I am going to illustrate some mathematical results
related to the study of the dynamics in quantum
mechanical models of many interacting particles. In particular, I am going
to illustrate the main ideas behind the rigorous
derivation of the nonlinear Hartree equation and the nonlinear
Gross-Pitaevskii equation in different situations of physical
interest. At the end of the talk I am going to present some open problems.
