Student-Run Geometry/Topology Seminar

I will talk about "simple" Euclidean polyhedral complexes and their homotopy types. Interesting examples of such complexes are given by generic Voronoi tilings. As an application, I will explain how to construct complex-projective varieties with normal crossing singularities and prescribed fundamental groups.
