I’ll introduce branched G-covers, and discuss the difference between cobordism, concordance, and equivalence of branched G-covers. I’ll show that if two branched G-covers of a surface are sufficiently large, then they are equivalent whenever they are cobordant and have the same branching data. This is based on my preprint arXiv:1709.03182.
