Toric Hilbert schemes

Description
I will define the toric Hilbert scheme associated to an integer
point configuration, show its relation to the space of triangulations of
the point configuration and (time permitting) sketch a construction of a
point set whose toric Hilbert scheme is disconnected.
This talk is related to the ones by Maya Ahmed (January 23, 2002) and
Francisco Santos (October 17, 2001) in the pure graduate seminar. I will
try to keep it self-contained, but having attended those talks will
facilitate understanding this one.
