Calabi operators for locally symmetric spaces

The Calabi operator, on a (pseudo)-Riemannian manifold of constant curvature, is a second order differential operator that locally characterizes the image of the Killing operator. I will discuss joint work (with Costanza, Eastwood, and Leistner) on generalizations of the Calabi operator to more general spaces.
