UCD4IDS: Current Status & Future Plans

I will present the current status of the UC Davis TETRAPODS Institute of Data Science (UCD4IDS) including some related campus-wide activities such as the status of the undergraduate data science majors, and that of the renovation of the Physical Science and Engineering Library (PSEL) for data science activities. Then, I will describe future plans of the UCD4IDS including a culminating workshop, the evaluation/survey for the UCD4IDS activities, and GSR hiring. Finally, I will briefly present what I learned from my sabbatical stay at the Centre Sciences des Données (CSD) at École Normale Supérieure, some of which could be implemented here. I hope this talk is bi-directional, i.e., I look forward to feedback from and discussion with the audience.
