In 1992, Shibukawa and Ueno derived a family of solutions to the Yang-Baxter equation as operators on function space. In this framework, we study the connection between well-known elliptic solutions and trigonometric degenerations, and construct a new family of rational solutions, which generalize to higher dimensions the Jordanian R-matrices. These solutions are obtained from twisted Shibukawa-Ueno operators restricted to finite dimensional subspaces, and the trigonometric and rational degenerations are described via these function spaces.
