We start by describing boundary layer phenomena. Next, we consider a linear example of boundary layers in the interior of a domain. Finally, we will be interested in the regularised minimal surface solution of which we give an explicit representation in the radially axisymmetric case when the domain is a pair of concentric circles in R^2.
