Janossy densities in random matrix ensembles

Mathematical Physics & Probability

Speaker: Alexander Soshnikov, UC Davis
Location: 693 Kerr
Start time: Tue, Apr 22 2003, 3:10PM

The purpose of this talk is to explain the importance of Janossy densities in random matrix ensembles and show that one can obtain simple formulas for the Janossy densities for polynomial \beta=1,2,4 ensembles. Most of the results are a joint work with Alexei Borodin (Caltech).
