Error-correcting codes in ring constructions

Description
For several types of well-known cyclic codes it has been shown
that they are ideals in certain ring constructions. Additional
structure helps to find more efficient encoding and decoding
algorithms for known codes, and to find new codes. This talk
is devoted to introductory preliminaries, known fact, and
recent results on this research topic.
