Description
In joint work with Ben Elias (https://arxiv.org/abs/2609.23253), we provide a categorification of (a reformulated version of) the classical Satake isomorphism for $PGL_n$. This categorification is different from the geometric Satake equivalence, in that we have $Rep(U_q(sl_n))$ replacing $Rep(SL_n)$ on one side of the equivalence, and a category of singular Soergel bimodules (associated to a deformed reflection representation of the affine permutation group) replacing the category of certain perverse sheaves on the affine Grassmannian of $PGL_n$. In this talk, I'll try to provide an overview of this work and explain some of the key ideas involved.
