I will discuss physical and geometric aspects of a recent conjecture that relates knot invariants and quiver representation theory.

We propose a physical model for the quiver data attached to a knot, in terms of holomorphic disks ending on its conormal brane in M theory. Motivated by this picture, we also introduce a notion of quiver skein relations, and argue that they generate a large class of 3d N=2 dualities. This is joint work with Tobias Ekholm and Piotr Kucharski.
