Channel Estimation Under Space-Time Block-Coded Transmission

Recently, space-time block coded transmission has established itself as an efficient means to enhance wireless communication performance over quasi-static fading channels. Its success relies on accurate channel knowledge on the receiver side. In this work, we present a new channel estimation approach that does not require training data to estimate the unknown channel. We present an unassisted channel identifiability condition for space-time block codes. The algorithm is simple with low complexity. We also provide some simulation results.
