Space-Time Wireless Communications Using Time Reversal

Applied Math

Speaker: Arnold Kim, Stanford University

Space-time wireless communications use multiple antennas at both the transmitter and receiver. Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless uses the richly scattering environment to improve its performance and reliability. In this talk, we apply time reversal fundamentals to MIMO wireless. Using results from time reversal theory and numerical simulations, we show that this technology holds great potential for improving wireless communications.
