Craig A. Tracy Research Prize

To honor Professor Emeritus Craig A. Tracy, the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Davis announces the creation of the Craig A. Tracy Research Prize to be awarded annually for research by one of its postdoctoral researchers or Krener Assistant Professors (KAPs).

For whom is this award given?

This prize is given to a Math postdoctoral researcher or Krener Assistant Professor (KAP) to recognize the quality of their research.

Who is eligible?

Any postdoctoral researcher or KAP in the Department of Mathematics at UC Davis, who has submitted an application. The application should include:

  1. An outline of the applicant's research achievements during their time at UC Davis of no more than 2 pages.
  2. CV and publication list.
  3. A supporting letter from the applicant's mentor at UC Davis, and one further letter writer of the applicant's choice, who is familiar with their research.

What is the award amount?

For it's inaugural year, the award amount is $2,000.

What is the selection process?

Recipients are determined based upon the excellence of their research while at the Department, which is reviewed by the Department's Award Committee. The final decision is made by the Department Chair. Winners are formally announced at the Department's Annual Awards Ceremony.
