In the last twenty years an exterior-calculus based theory has been developped with which one can find the similarity solutions (and conserved quantities when relevant) of non-linear pde systems. In fifty minutes or so, I'm going to attempt to demonstrate how (and to some extent, why) this theory works and illustrate it's use with application to some physically important examples (e.g., Sinh-Gordon equation, nonlinear Schrodinger equations...)
