Description
I will give an introduction to the notion of
Dehn Surgery on a link in the 3-sphere.
After giving basic definitions and examples,
the focus will be on knots. In particular,
I will discuss some of what is known about
obtaining a lens space or a reducible manifold
by Dehn surgery on a knot in the 3-sphere.
