The entropy of the supersymmetric 4d black holes which arise upon compactification of type II superstrings on Calabi-Yau threefolds is related to topological strings, according to the Ooguri-Strominger-Vafa conjecture. I will discuss a generalization of this conjecture for non-supersymmetric, extremal 4d black holes in the same set-up and argue that it involves the one parametric refinement of the topological string introduced by Nekrasov.
