Some fascinating identities involving the Fibonacci sequence can be derived using combinatorial means, by defining the nth Fibonacci number in terms of the number of ways a board n squares long can be tiled by squares and two-square dominoes. This representation of the Fibonacci sequence gives us combinatorial proofs of these Fibonacci identities.
